PAD 210 Introduction to Public Administration

Provides a broad understanding of basic concepts and principles of public administration, including the role, structure, and functions of public agencies and how they operatre.  May be offered as Writing Intensive.


PAD 211 - Introduction to Nonprofit Leadership

An overview of American nonprofit organizations, including historial and philosophical foundations of nonprofit organizations, career development and exploration, and attributes of successful nonprofit leaders.  May be offered as Writing Intensive.


PAD 313 Public Budgeting Processes

Study of the creation and administrative management of public budgets.  Emphasizes processes of budget preparation, adoption, administration and evaluateion at various levels of government.

A developed perspective on lobbying expectations and guidelines for the social sector. Considers lobbying and policy making through the lens of traditional nonprofit organization models. This class is required for the Certified Nonprofit Professional credential and Nonprofit minor. This course may be offered in an online format.


PAD 375 Certified Nonprofit Professional Lab I

Experiential learning practicum focused on professional nonprofit administration activities for students pursuing the Certified Nonprofit Professional credential.

PAD 399 CNP Internship for the Nonprofit Sector

An integrative learning experience where students apply textbook knowledge to nonprofit organization work experience. Certified Nonprofit Professional credential students must complete the educational contract prior to advisor approval.
