한국의시민운동과NGO세미나 (Seminar on Civic Movement and NGO in Korea)

이 강좌는 사회변혁의 새로운 계기로 주목받고 있는 시민운동과 시민운동의 주도세력인 NGO(Non-Governmental Organization: 비정부기구)를 분석대상으로 삼는다. 시민운동이 나타난 사회적·역사적 배경과 시민운동의 이념, 특징, 조직, 한계점 등을 논의한다. 또 시민운동과 NGO의 구체적 사례로서 한국의 시민운동과 NGO에 대해 검토하고 토론한다.

(This course targets the civic movement, which is drawing attention as a new opportunity for social transformation, and the NGO (Non-Governmental Organization), the leading force of the civic movement. Discuss the social and historical background of the civil movement and the ideology, characteristics, organization, and limitations of the civil movement. It will also review and discuss Korean civic movements and NGOs as specific examples of civic movements and NGOs.)

세계시민사회 (GLOBAL CIVIC SOCIETY)

이 강좌는 현행 한국사회의 상황에서 세계시민사회 구축의 걸림돌이 무엇인지를 검토할 것이며, 이어서 한국사회에 내재된 모순구조를 밝히고자 한다. 이에 근거하여 한국사회가 지향해야 할 세계시민사회의 대안을 모색할 것이며, 동시에 세계화 시대에 걸맞은 세계시민성을 육성하는 데 목적을 둔다.

(This course will review what are the obstacles to building a global civil society in the current situation of Korean society, and then will reveal the contradictory structure inherent in Korean society. Based on this, we will seek alternatives to the global civil society that Korean society should pursue, and at the same time aim to foster global citizenship suitable for the era of globalization.)

UN을 비롯한 제 국제기구들의 창설과정과 이러한 국제기구들의 조직상의 문제, 국제평화와 안전에 기여하는 역할을 체계적으로 분석하고 이론화 한다. 나아가 이들 여러 국제기구와 한국간의 관계를 국제정치 경제적 측면에서 연구 분석한다.

(This course ystematically analyzes and theorizes the creation process of international organizations, including the United Nations, organizational problems of these international organizations, and their roles in contributing to international peace and safety. Furthermore, the relationship between these various international organizations and Korea is researched and analyzed in terms of international politics and economy.)

거버넌스론 (LOCAL GOVERNANCE)

우리나라는 지방자치제 실시라는 중앙집권적 통치시스템과는 다른 각각의 지역이 지역의 행위주체들에 의해서 운영되는 통치시스템을 가지고 있다. 이러한 통치시스템은 지역의 활동주체들이 상호연관성과 협력을 가지고 네트워크를 통하여 지역을 운영하고 있다. 이러한 통치시스템은 지역뿐만 아니라 국가운영에 있어서도 적용되는 것이 민주주의 국가에서의 주도적인 통치형태라 할 수 있다. 국가운영 뿐만이 아니라 지역운영에 있어서의 거버넌스 차원의 통치시스템은 정부만이 중심이었던 과거의 경향에서 정부를 비롯한 사회행위주체들이 서로 참여하고 협력하여 여러 가지의 공공적인 문제들을 해결해 가는 것이 국민이나 지역주민들의 수요에 부응하는 행정을 실시하고 정부의 정책형성 및 집행능력 향상을 기대할 수 있다고 하겠다. 따라서 본 과목에서는 국가 및 지역사회에서의 주요 행위주체들(정부, 시민, 기업, 비정부기구(NGO),언론등)간의 협력적 네트워크 구축을 통한 통치운영에 관한 전반적 내용과 이에 대한 접근방법 등에 대해서 이해하고 분석해 보고자 한다.

(In Korea, each region, which is different from the centralized governance system of implementing the local autonomy system, has a governance system operated by local actors. This governance system operates the region through a network with interrelationships and cooperation between local actors. It can be said that this governance system is a leading form of governance in democratic countries that applies not only to regions but also to state operations. In the past, governance-level governance system in not only state operation but also regional operation, it is expected that the government and other social actors participate and cooperate to solve various public problems to meet the needs of the people and local residents. Therefore, in this subject, we will understand and analyze the overall contents of governance management through the establishment of a cooperative network between major actors in the state and local communities (government, citizens, companies, NGOs, media, etc.).)
