본 교과목은 수강생들에게 경영대학의 특성화된 봉사활동 기회 를 제공하여, 사회봉사의 기본적인 개념과 자세를 훈련시켜 향후 지역사회 개선과 발전에 앞장서는 글로벌 리더 양성을 목적으로 한다. 수강생들은 상호 존중과 협력을 통해 지속 가능한 봉사 프 로그램을 기획 및 실행하며, 그 과정에서 인성 함양과 실천하는 지성의 사회적 롤 모델이 되기 위한 리더십을 훈련한다. 또한 이 과정을 통해 향후 사회 진출 후에도 더불어 살아가는 ‘공동체 의 식 함양’에 기여한다. 사회봉사와 리더십????은 기본교육, 국내외 다 양한 봉사활동 및 기말평가를 통해 이루어진다.

(This course is designed to provide specialized community service opportunities to students for establishing basic concepts and attitudes towards community service in order for them to be nurtured as global leaders who will lead to enhancement and development of the public interest. In this program, undergraduates majoring business will have the opportunities to work with a variety of non-profit organizations in their local community or overseas area. Community Service & Leadership is a creative way to provide a public service program that fosters intellectual, social and professional enrichment for the students. It will help to reinforce academic learning with practical experience, entrepreneurship, and moral character while responding to community needs. After completing the course, students are expected to contribute their social responsibilities as members of society)

국제기구론(International Organization)

본 과목에서는 국제협력에 관한 이론적 학습을 보충하기 위해 서 석사과정 3학기 학생을 대상으로 국제협력의 실무적 측면을 학 습하도록 한다. 담당교수의 개관에 이어 청와대, 외교부, 통일부, 재경부 및 관련 기관의 실무진들을 초빙하여 한국과 연관된 국제 협력의 기존사례들과 앞으로의 전망에 대해서 현장감있는 교육을 제공하도록 한다. 주로 다루어질 주제들은 국가안보 협상, 국제경 제협상, 한국의 국제기구 참여, 국제환경 및 협상쟁점 등이다.

(This course is mainly concerned with how to achieve international peace and cooperation through international organizations such as the United Nations. Throughout the course, international politico-economic as well as legal and institutional aspects of international organizations are examined comprehensively to understand the intra-structural dynamics of international organizations and the interactions among international organizations and other actors such as states. The course also attempts to figure out the nature of issues currently faced by primary international organizations, and to evaluate the roles and limitations of those organizations in dealing with such issues.)

기업과 사회적 책임(Sustainable Business
Management) 

본 강의는 지속(가능)경영(sustainable management)이라는 경 영의 신 패러다임에 기반하여 기업의 윤리 경영, 사회책임 경영, 환경 경영, 혁신 경영 및 창조 경영의 5가지 관련 주제에 대한 이 론 연구 및 기업 사례를 고찰해보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 강의는 이론 강의, 경영자 초청 특강 및 소 그룹별 주제 발표 등으로 구성되며, 수강생들은 본 강의를 통해 미래 경영의 새로운 트렌드로 부상할 지속(가능)경영의 개념 및 중요성에 대한 인식을 기반으로 향후 전략 경영 분야에 있어서의 새로운 연구 주제 및 미래 기업 경영의 변화 방향에 대한 보다 조망이 가능할 것이다. 지속(가능)경영은 기존의 전략 분야에서 많이 다루어지지 않은 새로운 연구 주제이지만, 지속(가능)경영의 5가지 개별 구성 요소 들에 대한 이론적 연구 및 실천 사례에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 수 강생들은 지금까지의 전략 연구의 흐름을 이해하고 향후 관심 연 구 주제를 찾는 데에 도움을 받을 수 있을 것이다. 또한 기업의 이해관계자의 변화에 따라 기업 목적이 다양해지 고, 기업 경영 환경 변화에 따라 기업들이 지속(가능)경영의 실천 을 통해 경쟁력(competitiveness) 및 지속성(sustainability)을 확 보하는 과정을 고찰함으로써 기업 경영의 패러다임의 변천과정에 대한 구체적인 이해를 도모할 수 있을 것이다.

(This course is aimed at examining various theoretical researches and business cases regarding five topics related to business strategies including business ethics, social responsibilities, environmental management, and innovation management, based on a new Business paradigm, sustainable management. The course consists of lectures, guest speeches, and group activities in class. Although sustainable management is a new research subject, by taking this course, the participants can have more profound understanding of the established streams of the strategic management researches and, therefore, find a interesting subject for the future research. Moreover, the participants will be able to understand the concept of sustainable management and gain an insight into new research themes in strategic management as well as shifts in management practices. In addition, by studying how firms assure their competitiveness and sustainability through sustainable management as a response to change in stakeholders, shifts in the main purpose of firm existence, and business environmental changes, the students taking the course will have a concrete comprehension about transit process of business management paradigm.)

시민교육과 민주주의(Civic Education and
Democracy) 

모든 민주주의 이론들은 자유, 평등 다수결 규칙 등의 사회적 가치를 문자적 수준에서 공유한다. 그러나 이러한 가치들이 실제 로 의미하는 바는 서로 상이하다. 가령 자유주의자에게는 매우 중 요한 권리가 사회주의자에게는 전혀 그렇지 않을 수도 있다. 이러 한 맥락에서 이 강좌에서는 미래의 사회과 교사들에게 다양한 형 태의 민주주의를 이해할 수 있도록 해주는 철학적 관점을 제공하 고자 하며, 이를 위해 자유주의, 자유지상주의, 사회주의, 공동체주 의, 공화주의 등과 관련된 고전적, 현대적 저작물들을 학습할 것이 다. 아울러 이를 통해 사회교육과 수강생들이 민주주의 이론들의 의미와 정당성을 검토해 볼 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

(On the literal level, all theories of democracy share social values: liberty, equality, the rule of majority, and other rights. However, each of them has different actual meanings. While a certain right would be very important to a liberal, the same right would not be so to a socialist. Therefore, the purpose of this course is to provide future teachers of social studies with some philosophical perspectives, which make them understand various versions of democracy. The course contains classic and contemporary readings from at least five perspectives: liberalism, libetarianism, socialism, republicanism, communitarianism. This course can help social studies students understand the meanings and legitimacy of democratic theories.)

시민교육과 사회문제(Civic Education and Social
Problems)

사회의 급격한 변동과정에서 발생되는 사회문제의 본질을 이해 하고 정신병, 청소년문제, 약물중독, 범죄, 환경문제 등 사회문제의 원인과 문제해결을 위한 사회의 기본대책을 이해하는 데 이 과목 의 기본적인 목표가 있다. 사회문제의 성격으로서 개인적 일탈, 사 회의 구조적인 문제, 제도적인 문제 등을 살펴보고 일탈과 범죄에 관련된 사람들을 정상적인 사회생활로부터 격리하여 교정하려는 방법과 자율적인 재생능력의 향상을 바탕으로 치료하려고 하는 현 대적인 방법에 유의하면서 학생들이 연구 결과를 발표, 토론한다. 사회문제에 대응할 수 있는 교육적 방법을 모색하는 것도 이 과목 의 중요한 내용이다.

(This course is a study of social problems in a rapidly changing industrial society, such as mental problems, alcoholism, crime, drug addition, poverty, and environmental problems. The purpose of the course is to understand the nature of the problems and to seek solutions. Students are encouraged to suggest their own opinions and solutions regarding social problems in Korea.)

시민교육론(Civic Education)

사회과교육의 궁극적 목적은 훌륭한 시민의 자질을 향상하는 데 있다. 시민교육론은 사회과교육 중에서 가장 핵심적인 시민교 육의 목표, 역사적 발전과정, 내용구성, 방법 평가 등에 중점을 두 면서 국민의 한사람으로서 갖추어야 할 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화의 여러 영역에서 필요한 각종 정보를 획득하고 당면하는 문제를 해 결하며 기대되는 역할을 수행할 수 있는 능력을 갖추게 하는 교육 을 연구하는 과목이다.

(This course is a study of social studies education as civic education and citizenship education. The emphasis is on the relationship between social studies and citizenship education, the concept, problems, and future directions of citizenship education, and the attitudes and abilities needed for good citizens.)

시민사회와 사회운동 세미나(Seminar on Civil
Society and Social Movement)

본 세미나는 시민사회에서 사회운동의 기원, 역동성, 결과 등을 탐구한다. 이 세미나는 포괄적인 주제를 다루는 데, 사회운동의 등 장과정, 구성원들의 충원 및 리더십, 다양한 사회운동의 상호작용, 그리고 사회운동의 성공 및 실패 요인 등을 포괄하며, 여성운동이 나, 좌우파의 사회운동, 환경운동 등에 대해 사례연구를 수행한다.

(This seminar explores the origins, dynamics, and consequences of social movements in civil society. It examines a wide range of topics including the emergence of movements, recruitment and leadership, interactions among movements or with the media, and political elites. In addition it will scrutinize broader public tactics (e.g. nonviolent direct action, litigation), as well as factors contributing to the success and failure of the movements. Studied cases include women’s movements, conservative/ right-wing movements and environmental activism.)

Organizations) 

본 세미나는 오늘날 국제정치에서 국가 행위자와 함께 주요한 행위자로 자리매김하고 있는 국제기구에 대한 이론적 평가와 실질 적 분석을 통해 국제기구가 국가 중심의 전통적 국제정치에 대해 어떠한 보완적 역할을 할 수 있는가에 대해 고찰한다.

(This seminar course reviews important functions of international organizations in an attempt to understand their roles in traditional international politics.)

시민정치연구(Studies in Civil Society and New
Politics) 

이 세미나는 현대 정치학에 있어 ‘시민사회와 신정치’ 관련 논 의를 중심으로 주요 이론적, 경험적 연구들을 비판적으로 분석함으 로서 원생들로 하여금 향후 독자적인 연구를 수행할 수 있는 기초 를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 강의 내용은 시민사회의 개념, 집단행동, 사회적 자본, 결사체 민주주의, 직접민주주의 등을 포함 한다. The purpose of this seminar is to introduce students to the conceptual issues, theories, and debates concerning ‘civil society and new politics.’ The topics that will be covered in class include concept of civil society, social capital, engaging communities, associative democracy, direct democracy, global civil society in action, civil society and global governance, etc.

지구 시민사회와 거버넌스(Global Civil Society and
Governance)

본 과목은 수강생들로 하여금 지구시민사회에 대한 중요한 이 론적, 경험적 연구들을 분석, 검토하여 글로벌 거버넌스에 있어 지 구시민사회의 역할에 대한 이해를 높이고 이를 기반으로 독자적인 사례연구 능력을 기르는데 도움을 주고자 한다. 강의운영은 세미 나의 형식으로 수강생들은 매주 필독 문헌을 읽고 세미나 발표와 토론에 적극적으로 참가해야 한다. 매주 세미나 발표자는 critical essay(간단한 요약, 비판적 평가, 토론을 위한 쟁점들 포함)을 준 비할 것. 나머지 수강생들은 critical review(비판 및 방법론적 분 석 위주의 간략한 노트, 추후 설명)를 미리 제출하고 토론에 참여 하여야 한다. 기말 논문은 사례 연구를 기본으로 한다.

(The purpose of this course is to analyze major theoretical and empirical studies on global governance and global civil society and help student to develop capacity to conduct case study research on the topic. Class will be conducted in a seminar consisting of lectures, student participation, and discussions. Each session, students are required to submit and present a short critical review of each session’s readings.)

국제 NGO의 이해와 실습(Sociology of International
NGOs : Understanding and Participation) 

이 과목은 세계화 시대의 핵심 주체 가운데 하나로 부상하고 있는 국제적 비정부기구(Non-Governmental Organization)들에 관한 학문적 설명들을 종합적으로 살펴보고, 학생들이 장차 시민 으로서 혹은 전문가로서 이들의 활동에 참여할 수 있는 방안들을 탐색할 것이다. 국제 비정부기구들 가운데 인권, 여성, 노동, 보건, 환경, 언론, 문화 등의 영역에서 세계적 사회문제(global social problems)들을 다루는 조직들에 대해 집중적 관심을 기울일 것이 다. 이와 관련해 국내에서 접근할 수 있는 주요한 국제 비정부기 구들에 대한 체계적 관찰과 실습을 수행하며, 관련된 전문가들의 특강을 통해 현장의 목소리를 청취할 것이다.

(We will examine various scholarly accounts of international NGOs, which are arising as crucial agent in the globalization era. In addition, students will explore opportunities and measures for participating in the activities of international NGOs as citizens and/or professionals. Special attention will be paid to, among others, those which deal with global social problems in the areas of human rights, gender relations, labor, public health, environment, media, and culture. Some of the major international NGOs accessible within South Korea will be systematically examined and utilized for field experience. Experts from these NGOs will be invited for guest lecture so that students can hear firsthand voices from the concerned areas.)

글로벌라이제이션과 시민사회(Globalization and
Civil Society) 

날로 상호 교류가 늘어가고 하나가 되어가는 지구촌 사회의 다 양한 시민사회를 소개하여 글로벌화에 따른 다양성과 복합성을 인 식하여 21세기형 글로벌 마인드를 함양하고자 하는 과목이다. 이 를 위하여 동아시아 뿐만 아니라 중앙아시아, 중동, 유럽, 아프리 카, 중남미, 북미 등의 젠더와 가족, 지역사회와 도시공동체, 종교 와 문화, 기업문화 등 다양한 시민사회 영역을 내/외부 전문가를 초청하여 강의하고 토론과 발표 수업을 진행하여 체계적인 이해를 돕고자 한다.

(This course introduces various civil societies in a globalized world such as East Asia, Middle & Middle East Asia, Europe, North and South America etc. From a comparative perspective, it helps shape global mind at the 21st century. In each year it focuses on some themes related to civil society in various countries such as gender and family, regional communities and city communities, religion and culture, corporate culture etcs.)

사회운동론(Social Movement)

본 강좌는 거시적, 미시적 관점방법을 이용하여 사회운동에 참 여하는 다양한 사회집단의 동원 메커니즘을 분석한다. 사회운동 참여자들 동기, 자원, 이데올로기, 행동유형, 그리고 사회운동의 사 회적 결과 등을 주요 주제로 하여 이를 분석하는 다양한 이론적 모델을 연구한다.

(This course explores the mobilization of social groups, employing both macro and micro approaches. Motivations, resources, ideologies, behavioral patterns, and social outcomes are discussed in addition to the presentation and evaluation of major theoretical models.)

국제개발협력과 사회복지(International Development
Cooperation and Social Welfare) 

세계경제의 급속한 통합 및 국가간 상호의존성의 심화로 특히, 개발도상국들이 공통적으로 직면하고 있는 빈곤, 질병, 식량, 문맹 등의 문제는 단순히 그들만의 문제가 아닌 전 지구적인 문제로 인 식되고 있다. 이러한 국제사회의 움직임을 파악하고, 빈곤해소라는 중심 과제를 비롯한 여러 사회문제를 해결하고자 대책을 강구하는 실천적 학문으로서의 사회복지학의 관점에서 국제개발협력 사업에 대한 이해도를 높이고자 한다. 일반적으로 국제개발학은 사회적 조건으로 인하여 고통받고 있는 사람들의 문제를 같이 고민하고 해결하여 인류 사회의 평화와 공동번영에 기여하고자 하는 목표를 추구하는 휴머니즘의 학문으로 정의되고 있으며, 이렇듯 가치지향 적인 방향성을 갖는 학문이라는 점에서 사회복지학과 궤를 같이 하고 있다고 볼 수 있을 것이다. 국제개발협력에 관한 이론 전달 뿐만 아니라 국내 무상원조를 전담하고 있는 한국국제협력단 임직 원 특강식의 강의 운영을 통해, 한국의 개발 원조 사업에 대한 학 생들의 이해도를 높이고, 이를 통해 학생들이 국내뿐만 아니라, 국 제적인 시각에서 개발과 사회복지 문제를 연결, 종합적으로 사고 하는 역량을 기를 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

(Global crises, such as poverty, disease, food shortage, illiteracy, etc. prevail around the world. International development assistance is a globally cooperated remedy to solve the crisis. This class provides an opportunity for students to learn and understand how international development cooperation programs deal with the developmental issues including poverty reduction. Students can develop comprehensive thinking by linking development and social welfare with an international perspective through teaching offered by Professor and experts on international development cooperation programs. All the students are required to read the textbook carefully before the class begins so that they can actively participate in a class discussion with the students and the professor.)

인권, NGO, 세계시민사회(Human Rights, NGO,
and International Community) 

대학 신입생들을 대상으로 한국의 인권상황을 세계 시민사회의 변화 환경 속에서 파악하고 개선의 과제를 모색할 수 있는 능력을 갖추도록 한다. 인권상황과 관련된 법과 제도를 이해하고 활용 가 능성을 파악한다. 그리고 사회운동과 관련된 제반의 이론적 쟁점 들을 검토하고 나아가 한국사회 및 사회운동의 변화를 분석함으로 써 한국의 시민사회와 시민운동을 이론적⋅실천적으로 심도 있게 파악할 수 있는 안목을 기른다.

(This course assists students in developing skills to ascertain ways of improving the current state of human rights in Korea in accordance with the changing environment of the international community. Also, the students will learn to understand and evaluate the validity of current human rights regulations and institutions. Finally, through assessment of theoretical debates about social movements as well as evaluating such movements in Korean society, they will develop the ability to analyze Korean civil society and social movements.)

시민참여 연구 (Citizen Participation Research)

본 강좌는 석사과정 시민참여론의 심화 및 확산을 위한 강좌이 다. 본 강좌의 접근은 기본적으로 두 가지이다. 하나는 시민참여의 조직자 관점이며, 다른 하나는 시민참여에 대한 정책 대응자 관점 이다. 시민참여를 대립되는 양 관점에서 접근함으로써 실제 정책 과정에서의 시민참여의 성격규명과 대응의 효과성 제고를 기하고자 한다. 내용으로는 지방민주화와 참여, 시민참여의 조직화, 시민참여에 대한 대응방안과 평가, 실제 참여정책 사례분석 등을 포함한다.

(This is an intensified and developed course of the Citizen Participation at the master level. In dealing with the subjects basically two approaches are employed; civic organizer perspective and policymaker perspective. By applying the contradictory approaches, it purports to secure a more relevant and balanced understanding of the citizen participation in the actual policy process. Specifically, it deals with such topics as democracy and citizen participation, organization of citizen behaviors, strategies to citizen participation, evaluation of the citizen participation, analysis of the participation cases and so on.)

시민참여론(Civil Participation) 

본 강의는 행정 민주화의 필수요소인 시민참여에 대한 관련 논 의를 위한 것이다. 먼저 민주주의에 대한 이해를 위한 강의를 선 행하고, 이를 토대로 하여 행정의 민주화를 위한 실천적 도구로서 의 시민참여에 관한 이론과 실제를 학습한다. 구체적으로 민주정 치의 제 이론, 시민참여의 개념, 참여방법, 참여활성화를 위한 방 안, 공직자의 대응방안, 참여환경의 조성, 권력구조와 참여와의 관 계, 시민정치, 전자민주주의 등에 대하여 섭렵한다.

(This course concentrates on the civil participation. Based on understanding of various theories of democracy, concept and method of civil participation, attitude of civil services toward civil participation, and environment and governance structure for promoting the civil participation are dealt in this class. In addition, students will discuss e-participation, civil politics and relationship between power and participation as important topics on the civil participation.)
