사회운동론(Social Movement) 

사회운동을 설명하는 다양한 이론들을 비판적으로 검토하고, 실제의 사례들에 대해 조사하고 비교, 검토한다. 특히 사회운동의 유형, 성격, 발생 원인, 주체, 목적, 그리고 사회운동이 사회질서 및 변화에 미치는 영향, 또 그 반대로 사회변동이 사회운동에 대해 미치는 영향 등에 관해 학습하고 토론한다. 

(It critically reviews various theories that explain social movements, investigates, compares, and reviews actual cases. In particular, it learns and discusses the type, nature, cause, subject, purpose, and effect of social movement on social order and change, and vice versa.)

사회적경제연구(Social Economy Research) 

사회적 경제는 자본주의에 대한 서유럽, 특히 프랑스 사회의 대응이었고 현대적인 의미의 사회적 경제는 1980년대 이후 세계변화의 산물이다. 본 과목에서는 사회적 경제의 역사적 맥락, 새로운 사회적 경제의 양상들을 소개하고 주요 쟁점을 다룬다. 특히 우리사회에서 아직 학문적 시민권을 갖지 못한 이 분야의 학문적 정립을 위해 사회학의 기존 성과들을 활용하고, 기존 사회학 개념 및 이론과의 비교에 중점을 둔다. 

(The social economy was the response of Western European, especially French society to capitalism, and the social economy in a modern sense is a product of global change since the 1980s. This subject introduces the historical context of the social economy and aspects of the new social economy and deals with major issues. In particular, for academic establishment in this field, which has not yet had academic citizenship in our society, the existing achievements of sociology are utilized and the emphasis is placed on comparison with existing sociological concepts and theories.)

사회적기업론(Seminar on Social Enterprises) 

사회적 기업 및 사회적 경제 연구는 급변하는 현대 경제의 여러 문제점을 극복하기 위해 새로운 시장 및 서비스를 창출, 청년 실업의 해소, 고령자 취업의 제고 등을 포괄적으로 논의할 수 있는 신흥 학제이다. 본 과목은 사회적 기업 및 경제 연구의 현재적 성과와 기존의 사회학적 연구를 연계하여 시너지 효과를 도모하는 것을 주된 목표로 한다. 

(Social enterprise and social economy research is an emerging system that can comprehensively discuss the creation of new markets and services, the elimination of youth unemployment, and the improvement of employment for the elderly to overcome various problems in the rapidly changing modern economy. The main goal of this subject is to promote synergy by linking the current performance of social enterprise and economic research with existing sociological research.)

시민사회와 NGO연구(Seminar on Civil Society and NGOs)

본 과목은 서구 및 비서구 사회의 시민사회 형성과정과 다양한 논의를 검토하고 국가-시민사회 관계에 대해 살펴본다. 이와 함께 NGO의 역사와 현실을 살펴보고 신사회운동 등 서구의 경험과의 비교를 통해 한국 시민운동의 성격을 논의한다. 이론적 검토를 토대로 NGO의 실제 사례들을 조사하고 비교, 검토한다. 특히 지역의 저발전과 불평등을 개선하고 대안을 찾으려는 지역 NGO들의 다양한 시도들을 집중적으로 조명한다. 

(This subject reviews the process of forming civil society in Western and non-Western societies and various discussions, and examines the state-civil society relationship. In addition, it examines the history and reality of NGOs and discusses the nature of the Korean civic movement through comparison with Western experiences such as the New Social Movement. Based on the theoretical review, actual cases of NGOs are investigated, compared, and reviewed. In particular, it focuses on various attempts by local NGOs to improve regional underdevelopment and inequality and find alternatives.)

청소년 인권과 참여(Children's Rights & Youth Participation) 

청소년 인권 및 청소년참여와 관련된 주요 논점과 쟁점들을 소개하고, 그 이론적 이해와 실천적 평가에 대해 논의한다. 구체적으로는 청소년생존권 개념, 청소년참여권, 아시아 청소년의 인권과 평화, 인권적 관점에서 청소년복지의 유형, 글로벌 시대의 청소년참여활동, 청소년 참여의 동향과 참여권 신장의 과제 등을 다룬다. 

(Major issues and issues related to youth human rights and youth participation are introduced, and their theoretical understanding and practical evaluation are discussed. Specifically, it deals with the concept of youth survival rights, youth participation rights, human rights and peace of Asian youth, types of youth welfare from a human rights perspective, youth participation activities in the global era, trends in youth participation, and tasks to enhance participation rights.)

국가와 시민사회 (State and Civil Society) 

이 과목에서는 국가와 시민사회의 의미, 그 형성 및 변천의 과정에 대해 학습하고, 현대의 국가와 시민사회가 기본적으로 어떤 구조를 갖고 있으며 또 어떻게 작송하는지, 그리고 상호간의 긴밀하고 다양한 상호관계에 대해 학습하고 토론한다. 이를 통해서는 정치와 행정의 기본성격과 그것들의 사회적 기초 및 사회와의 연관관계에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있으며, 나아가서는 보다 전문적인 분석과 탐구를 위한 전문지식과 통찰도 얻어낼 수 있을 것이다. 

(In this subject, we learn about the meaning of the state and civil society, its formation and process of transition, what structure and how modern countries and civil society basically have, and discuss close and diverse interactions between each other. Through this, it will be possible to improve understanding of the basic characteristics of politics and administration, their social fundamentals, and their relationship with society, and furthermore, expertise and insight for more professional analysis and exploration.)

사회운동과 NGO (Social Movements and NGOs)

1990년대 이후 한국에서는 사회운동과 NGO가 커다란 이슈이자 화두로 등장하였다. 비정부 민간단체들의 활성화와 영향력 확대는 사회각계각층의 관심을 자아냈을 뿐 아니라 사회학자들의 주된 참구대상의 하나가 되었다. 본 강의는 이에 부응하여 NGO의 의미와 활동, 그것의 활성화가 미친 영향들, 특히 지역사회의 변화, 발전에 끼쳐온 영향을 따져 보고 향후의 발전 혹은 개선 방향을 모색해 보는 내용으로 이루어진다. 

(Since the 1990s, social movements and NGOs have emerged as big issues and topics in Korea. The revitalization and expansion of influence of non-governmental private organizations not only attracted attention from all walks of life, but also became one of the main targets of sociologists. In response to this, this lecture examines the meaning and activities of NGOs, their effects on activation, especially changes in the community, and the impact on development, and seeks future development or improvement directions.)

사회적 경제와 기업 (Social Economy and Enterprise) 

본 강좌는 한편으로는 사회적 경제 및 사회적 기업에 관한 전반적인 이해를, 다른 한편으로는 이 영역에서 제기되어 온 이론적 쟁점에 대한 학습을 목표로 한다. 강의는 사회적 경제 등장의 역사적 맥락, 이론적 쟁점, 선진국의 경험, 한국의 현실 등의 내용으로 구성된다. 

(This course aims to understand the overall social economy and social enterprises on the one hand and to learn about the theoretical issues raised in this area on the other. The lecture consists of the historical context of the emergence of the social economy, theoretical issues, experiences of developed countries, and reality in Korea.)

국제법과 국제기구 (International Law and Organizations)

이 과목은 국제법의 주요 원리와 내용을 소개하고 아울러 국제법의 제도화 측면에서 국제연합과 세계무역기구 등의 국제기구를 개관한다. 특히 조약과 관습법의 형성, 정책적 영향, 국제기구, 국가, 다국적 기업, 국제NGO 등의 상호작용과 역할, 국제 분쟁해결의 제도와 법 등을 고찰한다. 

(This course introduces the main principles and contents of international law and outlines international organizations such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organization in terms of institutionalization of international law. In particular, the formation of treaties and common laws, policy influences, interactions and roles of international organizations, countries, multinational companies, and international NGOs, and systems and laws for international dispute resolution are considered. )

민주주의 (Political Leadership)

정치의 주요 행위자이며 나라의 정치를 이끌어가는 정치지도자들에 대해 공부한다. 정치지도자들의 역할과 그들이 갖추어야 할 덕목을 공부하며, 대표적인 정치지도자들의 사례들도 연구한다. 

(Study political leaders who are the main actors of politics and lead the politics of the country. It studies the roles of political leaders and the virtues they should have, and studies examples of representative political leaders.)

한반도의 평화와 인권 (Issues of Peace and Human Rights on the Korean Peninula)

이 과목에서는 먼저 북한의 정치체제의 본질적 측면에 대한 이해를 추구한다. 북한의 인권 문제를 깊이 주목하는 가운데, '전체주의'의 개념의 적용 가능성에 대한 다양한 학문적 시각을 포함하여 전후에서 오늘에 이르는 북한 정치질서의 기본성격에 대한 비교와 사회정치적 탐구를 시도한다. 아울러 북한의 핵무기개발과 그로 인한 국제사회와의 긴장, 특히 북미관계의 전개를 분석하며, 북한과 중국의 관계 또한 주목한다. 궁극적으로 북한 정치의 내적 변화와 한반도 비핵화를 추동할 수 있는 정치 외교적 해법 모색을 염두에 둔 북한의 대외정책 분석을 시도한다. 

(In this subject, first, we seek to understand the essential aspects of North Korea's political system. While paying close attention to North Korea's human rights issues, it attempts to compare the basic characteristics of the North Korean political order from the postwar period to today, including various academic views on the applicability of the concept of totalitarianism. It also analyzes North Korea's nuclear weapons development and the resulting tension with the international community, especially the development of North Korea-U.S. relations, and pays attention to the relationship between North Korea and China. Ultimately, it attempts to analyze North Korea's foreign policy with the intention of seeking a political and diplomatic solution that can drive internal change in North Korean politics and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.)
