 협상의 이해 (Understanding of Negotiation)

개인, 집단, 국가를 포함하여 다양한 행위자들은 부단한 협상의 상황에 수시로 노출된다. 이러한 협상의 결과는 힘(power)이라는 요인에 의해 결정되는 경우가 적지 않지만 때때로 적절한 전략과 전술의 동원이 가져다주는 협상력(bargaining power)에 의해 크게 영향을 받기도 한다. 시민사회의 지도자의 경우 부족한 자원에서오는 여러 수준의 갈등과 분쟁을 평화적으로 해결하기 위해 이러한 협상을 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서 협상에 관한 다양한 이론과 실제를 통해 협상을 체계적으로이해하고자 한다.

(Various actors, including individuals, groups, and countries, are frequently exposed to situations of constant negotiation. Although the outcome of these negotiations is often determined by a factor of power, they are sometimes greatly influenced by the bargaining power brought by the mobilization of appropriate strategies and tactics. For leaders of civil society, it is important to understand these negotiations in order to peacefully resolve conflicts and disputes at various levels from scarce resources. Therefore, we try to systematically understand negotiations through various theories and practices about negotiations.)

21세기의 시민 토론 (Civic Discourse in the 21st Century – Leadership and Communication in the digital era)

This course examines the development of civic discourse in a digital society (digital citizenship). New technologies, such as the internet and social network service, have widened the public sphere and scope of participants. The course looks at the role of media in community leadership and the use of new and traditional media in civic leadership. It aims to increase the understanding and use of public opinion research for community change and crisis communication. Lastly, the course examines and develops the technological methods and communication competencies required to motivate followers and inspire positive change

NGO 경영론 (NGO management)

NGO의 활동 범위가 다방면으로 확장되면서 NGO 재정을 위한 기금모금방법 등 NGO 경영에 대한 체계적인 이해를 증진시키고자 개설되었다.

(As the scope of NGOs' activities expanded in various ways, it was opened to promote a systematic understanding of NGO management, such as fundraising methods for NGO finances.)

NGO의 이해 (Understanding of NGOs)

비정부기구(NGO)가 정부와 기업에 이어 제3섹터로 인정을 받는 등 중요성이 점증하고있다. 구체적으로 NGO는 국내적으로 정부와 기업의 의사결정에 중요한영향을 미치고국제적으로는 국제기구와 같은 국제적인 조직의 의사결정에 영향을미치면서 거버넌스의 중요한 행위자로서의 지위를 부여받기에 이르고 있다. 시민사회의 지도자들이 이해하여야할 NGO에 관한 다양한 이론과 실제의 여러 측면을조명하고자 한다.

(The importance of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is increasing, as they are recognized as a third sector following the government and companies. Specifically, NGOs have been given a status as important actors of governance by influencing decisions of governance and companies domestically and internationally by international organizations such as international organizations. I would like to highlight various theories and practical aspects of NGOs that leaders of civil society should understand)

국제관계의 이해 (Understanding of International Relation)

시민 지도자로서 반드시 알아야 하는 국가 간 관계에 대한 이론과 실제를 탐구한다.

(Explores the theories and practices of interstate relationships that a civic leader must know)

국제정치경제론 (International Political Economy)

국제체제의 현황과 성격을 분석함으로써 세계자본주의 체제가 처한 상황을 검토하고 전쟁, 기아, 질병, 환경보존, 기술협력 등의 과제에서 한국 시민사회가 취할 수있는 방안들을 모색한다.

(By analyzing the current status and nature of the international system, we review the situation of the global capitalist system and explore ways that Korean civil society can take in tasks such as war, hunger, disease, environmental conservation, and technological cooperation)

동북아의 이해 (Northeast Asia Area Studies)

인접한 지역, 즉 동북아시아의 지정학적, 정치적, 경제적, 역사적, 문화적, 이념적상태와변화를 탐구한다

(Explores the geopolitical, political, economic, historical, cultural, and ideological states and changes in neighboring regions of Northeast Asia)

민주주의론 (Studies on Democracy)

민주주의의 정의, 발전과정, 다양한 존재양식 등에 관한 이해와 논의를 통하여 왜 민주주의가 보편적인 체제로 주목을 받게 되었고, 향후 발전 방향에 대한 평가와전망을모색한다.

(Through understanding and discussion on the definition of democracy, development process, and various forms of existence, democracy has attracted attention as a universal system, and future development directions are evaluated and sought.)

변화와 정치 세미나 (Seminar in Change and Politics)

정치사회의 변화를 총체적 사회전반의 변화와 연관시켜 다룬다. 자연기후조건의변화그리고 국제적 사회.문화.경제의 변화가 국내 정치에 어떻게 영향을 주고 또한 줄 수 있는지 이러한 변화에 적응할 수 있는 국가의 능력을 살펴본다

(It deals with changes in the political and social world in relation to changes in the overall society. Changes in natural climate conditions and the international community.How cultural and economic changes can affect and also affect domestic politics Look at the nation's ability to adapt to these changes)

세계지도자론 (Studies of world Leaders)

근세부터 현대까지 세계를 변화시킨 주요 지도자들을 탐구한다.

(Explore the major leaders who have changed the world from modern times to modern times.)

시민단체의 조직과 홍보론 (Structure and PR of Civic Organization)

시민단체의 관심 분야와 활동 영역이 지속적으로 확장되는 추세를 반영하여 이 과목은시민단체의 다양한 조직과 효율적인 홍보 방안 등에 대한 모색을 시도한다.

(Reflecting the trend of continuous expansion of the areas of interest and activities of civic groups, this subject attempts to find various organizations of civic groups and efficient promotional measures, etc)

여성과 사회 (Women and Society)

The course looks at the role of women in society over the last centuries and the reasons for women’s underrepresentation in society. Using a number of famous examples, the barriers faced by women to advance to leadership positions in politics, society and businesses are explores. The course introduces feminist theory and successful measures to improve the position of women in society from across the world.

역사적지도자연구 (Studies in Historical Leaders)

역사적으로 훌륭한 정치지도자에 대하여 그의 삶과 철학 등에 관한 인물 연구를한다.이를 통하여 바람직한 리더의 방향을 연구하고 리더십을 함양할 수 있다.

(This lecture studies historically good political leaders' characterstics, life and philosophy.Through this, it is possible to study the desirable direction of leaders and cultivate leadership.)

온라인 시민 리더십 (Online Civic Leadership – The Context and Use of Technology)

The course aims to increase the understanding and use of the power of technology in community building; examines the role of leaders in defining digital citizenship across community; includes application of new and emerging technology including the internet and social media at the local, national and global level websites. Readings and case studies from Korea and the wider region are used.

융-복합 리더십연구 (Studies in Convergence Leadership)

다문화, 다국적 사회에 있어 전통적 리더십만으로는 한계가 있다. 따라서 동-서양의리더십,국가와 시민사회의 리더십(Civic leadership) 등 다양한 영역에서 리더십의융.복합적 또는심층적 상호관계를 조명해 봄으로써 시대적 변화에 걸맞는 새로운리더십을 구상해본다.

(In a multicultural and multinational society, traditional leadership alone has limitations. Therefore, the convergence of leadership in various areas such as East-Western leadership and civic leadership.By shedding light on complex or in-depth interrelationships, we devise new leadership suitable for the change of the times.)

정치과정론 (Contemporary Political Process )

현대 정치의 역동성을 이해하는데 필요한 정치과정의 핵심 분야를 중심으로 그 주요이론들을이해하고 최근에 쟁점이 되는 논의들에 대한 평가와 전망을 모색한다.

(Focusing on the core areas of the political process necessary to understand the dynamics of modern politics, we understand its main theories and seek evaluation and prospects for recent controversial discussions.)

정치분석 (Political Analysis)

현대 정치과정의 주요 쟁점들에 대한 비판적 사고와 글쓰기를 통하여 정치리더십 및 시민리더십의 기초적 소양을 진작시키는 것을 주요 목적으로 개설한다.

(It is opened with the main purpose of enhancing the basic knowledge of political leadership and civic leadership through critical thinking and writing on major issues in the modern political process.)

지역연구1 (Area Studies1)

급속하게 진행되는 세계화, 지구화의 추세에 맞추어 현존하는 다양한 국가들의정치체제, 정치과정, 정치경제, 정치변동에 대한 이해의 증진을 목적으로 개설한다.

(In line with the rapidly progressing globalization and globalization trend, it is opened for the purpose of enhancing the understanding of the political system, political process, political economy, and political changes in various existing countries.)

지역연구2 (Area Studies2)

각 구성 국가를 개별적으로 파악하는 방법으로써 지정학 또는 지경학이 있고 정치적으로 중요한 파당, 국익, 또는 이념적 접근법이 있다. 둘 이상의 국가가 만들어내는 관계를 통해서 이 지역을 이해하는 방법 또한 중요하다. 궁극적으로는미.러.중.일 강대국이 가진 힘과 그들 힘의 균형을 파악하는 구조적 접근까지 다양한방법에 의해 지역을탐구한다.

(As a method of identifying each constituent country individually, there is geopolitics or geography, and there is a politically important party, national interest, or ideological approach. It is also important to understand this region through relationships created by two or more countries. Ultimately, the region is explored in a variety of ways, from the power of the US, Russia, China, and Japan to the structural approach of grasping the balance of their power)

한국시민사회론 (Korean Civil Society)

서구 선진국에서 발달한 시민사회론의 기초를 소개 한 후 한국의 시민사회 발전단계와 역사구조, 미래 전망을 살펴보고 국가발전을 위해 시민사회가 담당해야 할과제들을 검토한다.

(After introducing the basics of civil society theory developed in advanced Western countries, we will look at the stages of civil society development, historical structure, and future prospects in Korea and review the tasks that civil society should take charge of for national development.)

한국정치경제론 (Korean Political Economy)

한국이 선택하고 발전시켜왔던 특정한 형태의 자본주의 체제가 나타나게 된 동기와과정, 결과를 분석하고 이 체제가 공정하고 풍요한 사회체제로 발달할 수 있도록시민사회가 협력할 수 있는 제반 정책 대안들을 검토한다.

(Analyze the motives, processes, and consequences of a particular type of capitalist system that Korea has chosen and developed, and examine all policy alternatives that civil society can cooperate to develop a fair and prosperous social system)
