NGO 입문(Introduction to NGO Studies)

현대사회에서 NGO는 개인의 일상생활에 깊숙하게 침투하여 국가권력과 시장자본에 대한 견제뿐만 아니라, 개인 잠재력의 개발과 자아실현에 중요한 위치를 점하고 있다. 구러나 실천영역에서 활발한 NGO활동에 비하여 이론영역에서 NGO의 체계적 연구은 아직 갈 길이 멀다. 본 과목에서는 새로운 유토피아로서 NGO가 가지는 의미를 NGO학의 전반적인 내용을 검토한다. 이 강의는 NGO학의 대학원 개론강좌로서, NGO연구의 전체적인 윤곽을 파악하고 앞으로 전개될 NGO 교육의 건물 구조를 쌓는 것이다. 여기에는 NGO학의 정체성부터 시민사회, NGO의 개념, 발생과 역할, NGO의 자원, 조직관리, 시민운동, 거버넌스, 글로벌 심니사회, 대안사회, 한국NGO활동 등 기본적인 모든 연구영역으 포함한다.

In modern society, NGOs penetrate deeply into individual daily life and occupy an important position not only in checking state power and market capital, but also in the development of personal potential and self-realization. Systematic research of NGOs in the theoretical domain still has a long way to go compared to active NGO activities in the old or practical domain. In this subject, the overall contents of NGO studies are reviewed for the meaning of NGOs as new utopia. This lecture is an introductory lecture on the graduate school of NGO studies to grasp the overall outline of NGO research and build the building structure of NGO education to be developed in the future. This includes all basic research areas from the identity of NGO studies to civil society, NGO concepts, occurrence and role, NGO resources, organizational management, civic movement, governance, global psychosocial, alternative society, and Korean NGO activities.
