Special Lecture on Socio-Economic Theory 1 (NPO Theory)

社会経済論特講1(NPO論)

1. First, to promote a basic understanding of systems theory, we will explain what a system is, what is the relationship between a system and human beings, and from what perspective systems are effective in approaching the reading of the times.
2. Then, we will theoretically elucidate why NPOs exist in this world. Although NPOs are sometimes treated as "nicknames" or positioned as "niche" organizations, we will explain why this is not the case and why they are inevitable in terms of system theory. 3.
3. Furthermore, we will show that CSR, which is attracting attention as a special remedy for survival and regional revitalization, shares the same systemic philosophy, and that the collaboration between NPOs and corporations can be explained from a systems-theoretic perspective.
4. However, there is an issue of lack of progress in collaboration, and the causes of this issue and the direction of solutions will be explained.

The lecture will not be a one-way lecture, but will incorporate discussions among the participants.

１．まず、システム論についての基本的な理解を促すために、システムとは何か、システムと人間との関係はどうなっているのか、時代を読み解くためにシステムが有効なのはどのような観点でアプローチするからなのか、について解説する。
２．そのうえで、なぜNPOがこの世の中に存在するかを、理論的に解明する。あだ花扱いされたり、ニッチ狙い的位置づけがなされることもあるが、そうではなく、システム論上の必然性がある点を解明する。
３．しかも、生き残りと地域活性化の特効薬として注目を集めるCSRと、システム理念を共有すること、したがって、NPOと企業の共同は、システム論的に説明できることを示す。
４．しかし、協働が進んでいないという課題があり、その課題の原因と解決の方向を解説する。

一方的に講義するのではなく、受講者間の議論なども組み入れて講義を進める。

Nonprofit Organization Theory

非営利組織論

The purpose of this lecture is to enable students to learn the institutional background that is a prerequisite for analysis and to be able to conduct management analysis in government and non-profit organizations that require the development of management strategies and business management.

Significance and points of the lecture
(1) Business analysis for companies and organizations other than large corporations
Students will learn how to analyze governments and non-profit organizations other than large corporations. This includes the national government, local governments, organizations including some of the funded organizations, organizations supporting social welfare and medical care (hospitals, etc.), private schools, and independent administrative agencies, etc., which support people's daily lives.
(2) Acquire a framework for business analysis
Students will learn methods of business analysis consisting of business strategy analysis and financial analysis, with the aim of clarifying the actual status of organizations.

本講義では、経営戦略の構築や経営管理が必要な行政・非営利組織において、分析の前提となる制度的背景を学び、経営分析を行うことができるようになることを目的とします。

【講義の意義・ポイント】
① 大企業以外の企業・組織に対する経営分析
大企業以外の行政、非営利組織などについて分析する方法を学びます。国民の暮らしを支える国、地方自治体、出資団体の一部を含む組織、社会福祉や医療を支える組織（病院等）や、私立学校、独立行政法人などを含みます。
② 経営分析のフレームワークの会得
経営戦略分析、財務分析からなる経営分析の方法について学習し、組織の実態について明らかにすることをめざします。

Basic Seminar (Management of Nonprofit Organizations)

基礎ゼミ(非営利組織のマネジメント)

In addition to the goods and services we purchase in the marketplace, we in society receive many benefits from "public services" such as healthcare, welfare, and education. In this seminar, we will first define "public services" and their social significance. Then, as a group, we will select a service field (or area) of particular interest to us among public services, and use books, Internet searches, interviews, and other methods to identify (1) the characteristics and problems of that service, (2) what is needed to improve the problems of that service, (3) effective methods for improving the problems of that service, and so on. We will use all possible methods, including books, internet searches, interviews, etc., to clarify the issues.
Finally, each group will present their findings to the class so that the students can mutually understand each group's issues and come up with their own opinions about the future of "public services".

社会に生きる私たちは、市場で購入する財やサービスのほかに、医療や福祉、教育などの「公共サービス」から多くの恩恵を受けている。そこでこのゼミでは、まず「公共サービス」の定義と社会的意義を明らかにする。その後グループ単位で、公共的サービスのなかで特に関心を持ったサービス分野(あるいは領域)を選び、①そのサービスの特徴と問題点、②そのサービスの問題を改善するために必要なこと、③そのサービスの問題改善において有効な方法、等について、書籍やネット検索、聞き取りなどあらゆる方法を用いて明らかにしていく。
そして最後に、その成果をグループごとに発表し、各グループの課題を相互に理解しながら、これからの「公共サービス」のあり方について学生なりの意見がもてるようにする。

Special Course (Nonprofit Organization Accounting)

特講(非営利組織会計)

Purpose of the lecture
The purpose of this lecture is to enable students to learn the accounting standards that are the prerequisites for analysis and to be able to conduct business analysis in government and non-profit organizations, which need to establish management strategies and manage business more than ever before.

Significance and points of the lecture
(1) Business analysis for companies and organizations other than large corporations
Students will learn how to analyze government and non-profit organizations other than large corporations. This includes the national government, local governments, organizations including some of the funded organizations, organizations supporting social welfare and medical care (hospitals, etc.), private schools, and independent administrative agencies, etc., which support people's daily lives.
(2) Acquire a framework for business analysis
This course aims to clarify the actual situation of organizations by learning the methods of business analysis, which consists of business strategy analysis and financial analysis.

Lecture Method
Students will be organized into groups of about 5 members according to seminar, academic year, theme, etc., and time will be set aside for discussion. Since the aim is to apply the knowledge acquired in previous lectures, we would like to set time for students to acquire new knowledge as well as output (presentation) in the class.

本講義では、これまで以上に経営戦略の構築や経営管理が必要な行政・非営利組織において、分析の前提となる会計基準を学び、経営分析を行うことができるようになることを目的とします。

【講義の方法】
ゼミ・学年・テーマなどで5名程度のグループを編成し、議論する時間を設けます。これまでの講義内容で得た知識を応用することをめざしますので、新たな知識の獲得とともに、授業内でアウトプット（発表）する時間も設定したいと考えています。
