In this course, we will deepen our understanding of nonprofit organizations by dividing them into basic topics such as management strategy, organizational structure, and organizational revitalization, as well as looking at various problems faced by nonprofit organizations and examining ways to improve them.

本講義では非営利組織を経営戦略、組織構造、組織の活性化などの基本的なテーマに分けて理解を深めるとともに、非営利組織が抱える諸問題に目を向けて改善方法を検討する。

NPO and Volunteer Theory

NPO・ボランティア論

The main objective of this course is to help you learn the basics of citizenship and management. Management is something you must understand in order to give shape to your "good ideas," "guarantee" that your clients (beneficiaries) will rely on them, and "sustain and develop" them. NPOs and volunteers, like businesses, have the power to influence and transform society. However, many of these organizations disappear after reaching the halfway point, not because of problems with their principles or activities, but because of poor management. It goes without saying that if you are going to present an idea to the world, you must also have the wisdom to make it work. This is exactly what this course aims to achieve.

本講座の主目的は、市民活動とマネジメントの基礎を習得してもらうことにある。マネジメントは、あなたの「よいアイディア」を形にするために、そしてそれをお客様(受益者)にあてにしてもらえるように「保証」し、「継続・発展」させていくために、皆さんが必ず理解していなくてはならないものである。NPOやボランティアはビジネス同様社会に大きな影響力を及ぼし、それを変革していく力を持つものである。しかしその多くが志し半ばにして消滅していってしまうのは、その理念や活動内容に問題があるからではなく、マネジメントの失敗が原因である。折角のアイディアを世に問うていくのであれば、それを上手くいくようにしていく知恵も合わせて持つべきであることはいうまでもない。本講座の狙いはまさにそこにある。
