非営利組織論

Almost 20 years have passed since the Law for the Promotion of Specified Nonprofit Activities (NPO Law) was enacted by lawmakers (citizens) in 1998, and the number of NPOs in Japan has exceeded 50,000. Indeed, in terms of numbers alone, NPOs have become the third largest sector in Japan, after the government and business sectors. However, there are still many issues to be overcome as an organization and as a sector, including financial and management aspects. Therefore, this lecture will focus on non-profit organizations, including NPOs and public interest foundations, to deepen our learning. We will also invite guests who are active on the front lines of non-profit organizations in the Kita-Kinki region, as much as possible, to provide an opportunity to learn about actual NPOs and the issues they face. The lecturers have established their own NPOs and currently serve on the boards of many NPOs. In this sense, we would like to convey the essence of what we have extracted from the field, rather than just empty theories from a desk.

1998年に議員(市民)立法で成立した特定非営利活動促進法（NPO法）の施行から約20年の歳月が経ち、日本におけるNPO法人数は5万団体を超えた。確かに数だけで見れば、NPOは、政府セクター、企業セクターに次ぐ第三番目のセクターになり得た感がある。しかし、財政面やマネジメント面も含め、まだまだ組織及びセクターとして克服すべき課題が山積している。そこで、本講義ではNPOや公益財団等含む非営利組織に着目し、学びを深める。そして、可能な限り北近畿地域の非営利組織の第一線で活躍するゲストも招聘しながら、実際のNPOの事例や課題について見聞できる機会も作りたい。 なお、講師は、自らNPOを立ち上げたことがあるほか、現在も多くのNPOで役員を務めている。そういった意味から机上の空論ではなく、現場から抽出されたエッセンスも伝えていきたい。
