In this course, based on an understanding of the relationship between changes in social life and NPOs and NGOs, the movement toward the enactment of the NPO Law, and the situation after the law was enacted, the class will use various methods, including lectures, fieldwork, and discussions, in order to acquire knowledge about the significance of NPOs in modern society and to develop an awareness of issues, and to foster the ability to think about the future of civil society and how each individual citizen should be involved.

本講義では、社会生活の変化とNPO・NGOとの関係、NPO法の制定に向けた動きや、制定後の状況について理解を踏まえ、現代社会におけるNPOの存在意義や、課題について問題意識をもつための知識の取得から、今後の市民社会のあり方や、市民一人ひとりのかかわり方をそれぞれで考える力を育むことを目的に、講義、フィールドワーク、ディスカッションなど、様々な手法により授業を進めていきます。
