芸術文化とNPO

Explore NPO activities centered on art and culture in contemporary society. Art NPOs are considered as intermediate support activities, acting as a link between creators and viewers. Particular emphasis will be placed on the relationship between art projects and the local community, and NPOs that support such projects will be explored based on a comprehensive understanding of the history and environment of the region. We will also explore specific issues inherent in social change and cultural promotion, with an eye toward regional creation and local revitalization. Furthermore, students will understand the need for an international sense and the ability to communicate in a global society. Students will learn about NPOs that are rooted in local communities through case studies of many cultural projects and community activities, and will comprehensively learn how NPOs should be rooted in local communities. Please note that the content and order of classes may be subject to change.

現代社会における芸術文化を中心にしたNPO活動について探求する。アートNPOとは、創作者と鑑賞者のつなぎ手として中間支援活動として考える。特にアートプロジェクトと地域社会との関係性を重視し、その地域の歴史や環境を包括的に捉え、それらを支えるNPOを探求していく。また、社会変化と文化推進のなかで内在する具体的な問題を探究し、地域創生や地方活性化を視野に入れていく。さらにグローバル社会に通用する国際感覚と発信力の必要性を理解してゆく。多くの文化事業やコミュニティ活動から事例を学び、地域に根付くNPOの在り方を包括的に学んでいく。授業の内容や順序等に変更する場合があるので予めご了解いただきたい。

Introduction to NPOs/NPO Theory

We will discuss what kind of roles NPOs are required and possible in today's society, where the limits of the market and the limits of government have become apparent. We will focus on social business as one method of solving social problems (poverty, disease, education, welfare, environment, etc.). Specific cases will also be presented.

市場の限界、政府の限界が明らかになった現代社会において、NPOはどのような役割が求められ可能であるかについて述べる。社会問題（貧困、疾病、教育、福祉、環境等）の解決の一つの手法としてソーシャルビジネスに注目する。その具体的ケースについても紹介する。

NPO・NGO論

This course is designed to provide students with a basic knowledge of NPOs and NGOs, which have gained recognition in recent years as central players in volunteer and civic activities, and to deepen their understanding of NPOs and NGOs by connecting NPOs and NGOs with people's daily lives. The class will also introduce specific case studies of NPOs and NGOs, allowing each student to consider what role NPOs and NGOs can play in tourism and what role NPOs and NGOs can play in the community.

近年、ボランティア活動や市民活動の中心的存在として社会的に認知されているNPOとNGOについての基礎的知識を修得する。NPO・NGOと人びとの暮らしを結びつけるところから、NPO・NGOの理解を深める。さらに、NPO・NGOに関する具体的な事例研究の紹介を通じて、観光においてNPO・NGOがどのような役割を果たしうるのか、コミュニティにおいてNPO・NGOがどのような役割を果たしうるのか、受講生一人ひとりが考えていく授業である。
