Nonprofit organizations include public interest corporations, medical corporations, school corporations, and many other types of corporations. The purpose of this lecture is to understand the system and accounting of such nonprofit organizations.
非営利組織には公益法人をはじめ，医療法人や学校法人など様々な法人が含まれます。本講義では，こういった非営利組織に関する制度と会計を理解することを目的とします。

NPOs and NGOs are citizens' activities that approach social problems in a different way from governments and corporations. In this class, we will study the reality of NPOs and NGOs by reviewing case studies of unique NPOs and NGOs active in Japan and overseas, examining (1) what social problems they address, (2) what strengths they have (that governments and corporations do not), and (3) what has happened as a result of their activities.
山積する社会問題に、政府とも企業とも異なるやりかたでアプローチしていく市民の活動がNPO・NGOです。この授業では、国内外で活躍するユニークなNPO・NGOの事例をもとに、①それはどんな社会問題に対する活動か、②どういう点がその活動の（政府や企業にない）強みか、③活動の結果なにが生じたか、を検討し、NPO・NGOの実情を学んでいきます。
