NPO Theory Research

NPO論研究

We will conduct in-depth research on the significance and challenges of NPOs (non-profit organizations). Specifically, we will study the current status of the NPO sector (including comparisons with other countries) and how it should be, its essential differences from the government and corporate sectors, how it should collaborate with other sectors, the current status of the NPO legal system and how it should be, NPO management, and challenges in developing the NPO sector. The course will cover topics such as the current status of the NPO legal system and how it should be, NPO management, and challenges for the development of the NPO sector. Students are expected to deepen their research on topics of interest to them and present their findings.

NPO（非営利組織）の意義と課題について掘り下げた研究を行います。具体的には、NPOセクタ－の現状（他国との比較を含む）とそのあり方、政府セクタ－・企業セクタ－との本質的な違い、他セクタ－との協働のあり方、NPO法制度の現状とそのあり方、NPOマネ－ジメント、NPOセクタ－が発展していく上での課題などについて学びます。受講生は自分が関心をもったテーマについてさらに研究を深め、発表することが求められます。

NPOs and NGOs also serve as a place for self-realization for those who feel suffocated in a controlled society and are seeking and pursuing their own way of life without being bound by the government or corporations. As an overview, this lecture covers the history and current status of NPO/NGO activities, differences from the government and corporate sectors, the social significance of activities, an overview of the NPO Law, the nature of volunteer activities, and issues in NPO/NGO activities. Based on the faculty member's many years of experience in NPO/NGO activities, this course also aims to clarify the roles NPO/NGOs play (or should play) in society.

NPO／NGOはまた，管理社会に息苦しさを覚え，政府や企業に縛られない自分らしい生き方を模索・追求する人達の自己実現の場にもなっています。この講義は概論として，NPO／NGO活動の歴史と現状，政府・企業セクターとの違い，活動の社会的な意義，NPO法の概要，ボランティア活動のあり方，NPO／NGO活動の課題などについて学びます。また、担当教員の長年のNPO／NGO活動の経験を踏まえ、社会においてNPO／NGOが果たす（べき）役割を明らかにしていく科目でもあります。
