NPO論

NPOs are essentially civic activities in which citizens and consumers, who are conscious of society at large and of their own lifestyles and ways of living, work on local issues that government and existing entities are unable or unwilling to address through their own unique discoveries, ideas, and actions. This course will provide an opportunity for each participant to experience the significance and reality of citizens' activities and movements, which are filled with new expertise, as they move toward their own social activities.

NPOとは本来、ひろく社会に対して又自らの暮らしや生き方に対して自覚的な市民・生活者が、行政や既存主体には出来ない又出来づらい地域の諸課題について独自の発見・発想・行動力で働きかける市民活動であると思う。ここでは新しい専門性を孕む市民の活動・運動の意義と実際を見つめつつ、履修者一人ひとりが社会的活動に向かう際の経験の場としたい。
