NGO・NPO特論

Corporations, such as stock companies, are "for-profit organizations. In contrast, a "non-profit organization" is called a non-profit organization (NPO), and there are many fields and forms of non-profit organizations. In particular, an organization that engages in international cooperation is called a non-governmental organization (NGO). In the first half of this class, students will deepen their understanding of NPO systems, activities, and management through discussions based on the textbook. In the second half, students will practice project planning and drafting.

株式会社などに代表される企業は「営利を目的とする組織」である。これに対し「営利を目的としない組織」を非営利組織（Non-Profit Organization、NPO）といい、非常に多くの分野と形態がある。特に、国際協力を行っている組織をNGO（Non-governmental Organization）という。この授業では、前半で教科書に基づき、NPOの制度、活動やマネジメントなどについて討論を行いながら理解を深める。後半ではプロジェクトの企画・立案の実習を行う。

NGO・NPO論

NGOs and NPOs are now becoming increasingly important in global civil society. In this lecture, students will learn what NGOs (non-governmental organizations) and NPOs (non-profit organizations) are. We will also consider the current status and roles of NGOs and NPOs by looking at examples of NGOs and NPOs overseas and in Yamaguchi Prefecture in Japan, and how NGOs and NPOs should form partnerships with governments, corporations, universities, and other organizations.

Practical Courses
Guest speakers will be NPO practitioners who are active in the community, and through discussions with students, the role of universities and NPOs in the community will be discussed.

グローバル市民社会において今、NGO・NPOの重要性が増してきている。本講義では、NGO（非政府組織）・NPO（非営利組織）とは何かを学ぶ。また、NGO・NPOの海外における事例と、日本国内、山口県における事例をみることで、NGO・NPOの現状と役割を考える。NGO・NPOは政府・企業・大学などと、いかにパートナーシップを結んでいくべきかを考える。

【実務系科目】
地域で活躍するNPO実務家をゲストスピーカーとして招き、学生とのディスカッションを通して地域における大学とNPOの役割について考える授業を行う。
