Our society faces a variety of problems such as medical care, nursing care, poverty, homelessness, disability, and global environmental issues, and how to solve these problems is a major challenge for society. However, these increasingly complex problems are becoming difficult to solve by public organizations and for-profit companies alone. Non-profit organizations (NPOs) have emerged to solve these problems. However, since NPOs do not aim to make profits from their activities, they face various problems in terms of human, material, and financial resources, and the key issue for NPOs is how to survive and develop. In this course, we will discuss management and leadership in the survival and development of NPOs.

私たちの社会には医療や介護、貧困、ホームレス、障害者問題、地球環境問題など様々な問題があり、それをどのように解決するかが社会の大きな課題である。しかし複雑化するこれらの問題は公的機関や営利企業だけでは解決することが困難になってきている。そこで、これらの問題を解決する非営利組織（NPO）が現われてきている。しかし、NPOは、その活動によって利益を上げることを目的としていないので、人的、物的、資金的面で様々な問題を抱えており、NPOにとっては組織をいかに存続発展させるかが重要な課題になっている。この科目では、NPOの存続発展に関わるマネジメントやリーダーシップについて講述する。
