Expectations of NPOs and NGOs are increasing due to economic and social changes, deteriorating public finances, and the transformation of families and neighborhoods. In order to understand the reality of this situation, the history of private non-profit activities, the division of roles between public and private sectors, examples of problem solving, and management of non-profit organizations are studied.

経済・社会の変化や行財政悪化、家族や近隣社会の変貌に伴いNPO・NGOに期待が高まっており、その実態を理解するため、民間非営利活動の歴史や官・民の役割分担、課題解決の実例、非営利団体の経営等を学ぶ。
