NPO Theory

NPO論

The class format will be based on a lecture format. The outline of the lesson plan is to learn basic theories and theories to understand the characteristics of NPOs. In doing so, theories and concepts in business administration will be used to deepen understanding. Students will also learn about the historical development of civic activities and NPOs in Japan. In addition to management theory, which is necessary for NPOs, the course will also include inter-organizational relations theory to promote understanding of collaboration with other sectors. In addition, students will learn about life careers formed through civic activities based on the activities of NPOs. Case studies will also be introduced to promote understanding of the above.

授業形態としては、講義形式をベースとする。授業計画の概要は、NPOという組織の特徴を理解するための、基本的な理論や学説を学習する。その際に、経営学における理論や概念を援用しながら理解を深める。また、日本における市民活動およびNPOの活動を歴史的な流れの中で、どのような動きで発展してきたかも学習する。なお、NPOという組織に必要とされるマネジメント理論の他に他セクターとの協働を理解するため組織間関係論などにも踏み込んで理解を促進する。さらに、NPOの活動を踏まえた市民活動を通じて形成されるライフ・キャリアについての学習も取り入れる。以上の理解促進を図るため、ケース・スタディも導入していく。

Modern Society and NGO/NPO

現代社会とNGO・NPO

The 15 lessons will be divided into three parts. In the first part (2nd to 4th sessions), students will learn what social enterprises are and the thoughts of those who have established them. In the second part (5th to 8th sessions), we will explain the basic knowledge related to these social programs while focusing on organizations that conduct activities for the domestic market, which are associated with the term "NPO". Part 3 (Part 9 to Part 14) will focus in detail on the activities of overseas-oriented organizations, which are often associated with the term NGO. We also plan to review the basic knowledge of social programs covered in Part 2. Throughout the course, video materials and group work will be used as appropriate.

15回の授業を3部に分け進めていきます。第1部（第2回～第4回）では社会事業とは何か、またそれを立ち上げてきた人たちの思いとはどのようなものなのかを学びます。第2部（第5回〜第8回）では、NPOという用語でイメージされる国内向けの活動をする団体を取り上げながら、これらの社会事業に関わる基礎知識を解説します。第3部（第9回～第14回）ではNGOという用語でイメージされる海外向けに活動する団体の活動を詳しく取り上げます。第2部でとりあげた社会事業の基礎知識の復習もしていく予定です。全体をつうじて、適宜、映像資料の資料やグループでの作業を取り入れます。
