NPO・NGO論

We will consider various aspects of civil society organizations (CSOs), including their significance, specific roles, management, and future prospects.
CSOs come in a variety of forms, including non-profit organizations (NPOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), cooperatives, social business organizations (SBOs), citizen finance, grassroots movements, and volunteer organizations. In other words, this class will look at efforts to reach out to society and the world from the standpoint of citizens, consumers, workers, and others.
In our society, various CSOs are active in many areas (environmental protection, food and health, child support, child rearing support, support for people with disabilities, nursing care, education, poverty alleviation, gender justice, social justice, multi-ethnic coexistence, developing country support, international exchange, local production for local consumption, town development, migration support, etc.). We will understand what possibilities those activities have and what challenges and limitations they face, and consider what it means and how citizens can work to solve problems.

市民社会組織（CSO）の存在意義、具体的役割、経営、将来展望などについて、さまざまな角度から考えます。
CSOには、NPO（非営利組織）、NGO（非政府組織）、地域住民組織（CBO）、協同組合、社会的企業（SBO）、市民金融、草の根運動、ボランティア団体など、多様なかたちがあります。言い換えると、この授業では、市民・生活者・労働者・消費者などの立場から社会や世界に働きかける取り組みの姿を見ていきます。
私たちの社会では、多くの領域（環境保護、食と健康、子ども支援、子育て支援、障害者支援、介護、教育、貧困解消、ジェンダー公正、社会的公正、多民族共生、途上国支援、国際交流、地産地消、町おこし、移住支援、等々）でさまざまなCSOが活動しています。それらの活動にどのような可能性があるか、また、どのような課題や限界を抱えているのかを理解し、市民が問題解決に向けて取り組むことの意味と方法について考えます。
