Citizens' Movements, NGOs and the COC for Nuclear Weapons Abolition

The role of citizens' movements and NGOs is becoming increasingly important in the world's nuclear disarmament efforts. Along with successful examples such as the adoption of the Nuclear Weapons Convention, we will learn about the role that survivors of radiation exposure have played in the abolition of nuclear weapons, as well as the role of citizens' movements and NGOs. In particular, we will deepen our understanding of the role and potential of young people, who will lead the next generation, in anticipation of the coming of the "era without survivors of radiation exposure.

世界の核軍縮努力のなかで、市民運動・ＮＧＯの果たす役割はますます重要になっている。核兵器禁止条約採択などの成功例とともに、核兵器廃絶のために果たしてきた被ばく者の役割、市民運動・ＮＧＯの役割を学ぶ。とりわけ、「被ばく者なき時代」の到来を前に、次世代を担う若者の役割や可能性について考えを深める。
