Advanced Operations Research

The objective of the course is to make the learner familiar with the advanced operations research techniques and their applications in managerial decision making.


Agribusiness and Rural Development

The objective of this course is to acquaint the students with the background in which rural development as a subject has gained importance and further identify the important concepts of rural development and a assess the importance of evolving rural development strategies; enumerate the different rural development strategies advocated by different schools of thought; and explain the importance of planning rural development strategies.


Agricultural Finance

The objective of this course is to acquaint the students with the Agricultural finance which covers agricultural lending, loans made to non-farm rural firms, and deposit services in rural areas. These in particular have an impact, namely: agricultural sector policy, financial sector policy and macroeconomic policy.


Agricultural Input Marketing

The present course aims at familiarizing the participants with various aspects of agricultural input marketing in India. This will help them in gaining a deeper understanding of the four P’s of marketing as applied to agricultural input marketing. Also an exposure to social and ethical issues is oriented in the course.


Business Environment and Financial Inclusion

The basic objective of this course is to make the students aware of the various functional aspects of management. The course would also provide an outline to the basics of communication and its utility in management.

The course is designed to promote understanding of issues related to compensation management in corporate sector and public services and to import skill in designing compensation management system, policies and strategies, apart from promoting understanding of legal issues in the administration of compensation, welfare and social security.

The course aims at providing an overview of various dimensions of business environment. It seeks to familiarize the students with various aspects of economic, social, political & cultural environment of India. It intends to provide a deeper understanding of the environmental factors as they influence the Indian business enterprises. Case studies as pedagogical tool would be used to introduce the students to the environment in which the businesses operate.

The course is designed to provide an understanding of the basic elements, concepts and system of cost accounting and the use of costing information in managerial decision-making. Major topics covered are: An orientation to Cost Accounting: Purpose of Cost Accounting, Elements of cost. Kinds of costing, Classification of Costs: Material, Labour and Overhead Costs; Costing Systems; Marginal Costing; Standard Costing; Variance Analysis; Costing for Managerial Decisions.

The present course aims at familiarizing the participants with various aspects of HRM. It aims at providing a rich fund of contemporary knowledge , time tested principles, basic concepts, emerging ideas, evolving theories, latest technique , ever changing procedures & practices in the field of HRM in a comprehensive way.


Industrial Relations

In this course, the students are to be acquainted with the Industrial relations framework in our country, the importance of the maintenance of Industrial peace and efforts to reduce the incidence of Strikes and Lockout and Industrial Strike are to be emphasised. Further, the students are to be acquainted with Social Security Frame-work prevailing in our Country. It is necessary to know the concept of social security, its importance and also constitutional basis for the same in India.

The objective of this course is to expose the students to the applied aspect of accounting and making them familiar with the techniques of using Accounting information for decision making.
