From Virtual Worlds at Seton Hall
Introduction
Welcome to the Seton Hall University Virtual Worlds Wiki! Seton Hall University has been investigating the use of virtual worlds for education since Spring 2006. Since that time we have embarked on a number of different projects and initiatives. A description of each project can be found under the Portfolio section of this wiki. The TLT Center at Seton Hall also holds a number of professional development opportunities for faculty interested in exploring virtual worlds. A list of workshops descriptions can also be accessed on the right menu bar.
Over the past year the TLT Center and participating faculty have been working to develop Pirate Island, Seton Hall’s Second Life Island nestled in New Media Consortium territory. In order to access the island, the interested avatar must first become a member of the NMC Second Life group [1]. Once an avatar has been created and associated with the NMC group, Pirate Island can be accessed through the following SLurl: [2].
