        <![CDATA[<p>2008 marks the 10th year anniversary of SetonWorldWide, the
online campus of Seton Hall University. Seton Hall was an early leader
in e-learning with the launching of the online Master of Healthcare
Administration program and the online Master of Strategic Communication
and Leadership program in 1998.</p>

<p>Since then a number of online degree programs and certificate programs have been added to the SWW online campus with new online programs ready to launch. May 2008 saw the 1000th student
earning their graduate degree through SetonWorldWide - with students hailing from every state in the nation.</p>

<p>Online education figures prominently in Seton Hall&#8217;s long
and proud tradition of providing&nbsp;quality educaton to students from New
Jersey, the nation and around the world.</p>

<p><b><u>Facts About Online Education Today</u></b></p>

<p>In a recent Sloan Consortium survey of over 2500 colleges and universities from the U.S. (<em>Online Nation: Five Years of Growth in Online Learning, 2007)</em></p>

<ul><li><em>Online&nbsp;enrollment in the U.S. has increased from 1.6
million students taking at least one course in 2002 to nearly 3.5
million students in 2006</em></li>
<li><em>The 9.7% growth rate for online enrollments far exceeds the 1.5% growth rate of overall student population in higher education</em></li>
<li><em>Almost 3.5 million students were enrolled in at least one online course in 2006 - a 10% increase over the previous year</em></li>
<li><em>20% of all higher educations students in the U.S. were enrolled in at least one online course in 2006</em></li></ul>
